In this seminar we will be looking at basic throwing and falling techniques found in HEMA - with weapons and without.
The 90 minute seminar is $25 for Tosetti Institute students and $30 for those who are not students.

Coach Paul will be teaching an introduction to armored combat. No armor required, but you will need a mask and fencing jacket.

Mark your calendars! The next Fight Day is rapidly approaching. For those of you who haven’t attended before, this is a fun and unique open mat session of MMA and HEMA sparring.
The event fee is $20. Spectators are welcome and there is no fee to watch.

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Coach Paul Tosetti, fought 50 two minute fights with the opponent choosing the fight format. It took 3 1/2 hours to accomplish and a little help from an ice pack.
We had 55 fighters join us. It was a ridiculously fun day. A massive thanks to everyone who joined us to fight and/or cheer the fighters on.
Next Fight Day- August 24th.
The next Friday night HEMA “Spot” class will be on July 26th at 7 PM - 8:30 PM. The Class will include both Longsword and Sidesword instruction.
If you’re on an unlimited Program there is no fee. If you are not the Spot Class fee is $20 for students and $30 for non-students.
Many of you are familiar with Coach Paul's occasional tradition of fighting a round for every year of his age. Well... this year he's turning 50! Please join us at this very special, fun, sweaty event.

A Message from Coach Paul:
Last week I took a team of five of our students to Longpoint, the premiere HEMA tournament in the U.S.
Everyone on the team did AMAZING!
The format of the tournament was very different than other events. The competitors had to compete in Triathlons or Pentathlons – exhibiting multiple skill sets to place.
The events our team competed in were – Messer, Longsword, Wrestling, Cutting with both Messer and Longsword and also Forms.
While there was no winner for one particular event, we want to acknowledge how our team did with Stacy Stocki placing 5th in Cutting out of 79 people. Ryan Well took 13th and Jan Deneke took 16th in Cutting.
Sierra Cirimelli-Low, Robert Templar and Ryan participated in Ringen (wrestling). This was a new event for Sierra and Robert as students. They all did incredibly well. Sierra was the only woman in her weight class and did an absolutely outstanding job while Robert and Ryan both had multiple epic matches.
In the Longsword Triathlon, Jan placed 9th out of 35 fighters and Stacy placed 19th.
In the Liechtenauer Pentathlon Light, Ryan placed 8th out of 20 fighters.
In the Messer Triathlon, Sierra placed 11th out of 13 and Robert took 3rd walking away with a medal.
The entire team put in a ton of work and practice and it showed. They should all be extremely proud of their accomplishments. I definitely am.
Also, I want to acknowledge the support and help Kate Templar gave to me and the team throughout the four day event. Thank you Kate!
Our HEMA classes are HUGE! Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights the mat is filled with students swinging swords. While we would love to schedule a class on another night, the mat is already committed on Wednesday and in full disclosure, for the Tosetti Family's quality of life, we do not want to add a regular class to the schedule at 7:00 pm on Fridays.
However, what we will be doing is scheduling one Friday night HEMA class a month. The class will include both Longsword and Sidesword instruction.
The second Spot Class will be held on Friday, March 15th from 7 - 8:30 pm. If you're on an Unlimited program, there is no fee. If you are not, the Spot Class fee is $20 for students and our regular drop in rate of $25 for non-students.

This session will cover fundamental techniques from the European and the Chinese Traditions and then advance to sparring drills.

Club Fed was officially launched on January 2nd as a component of our MMA Fitness program. It was designed to help our students find balance and enjoyment with food, while working toward their health goals.
The Club Fed program focuses on:
Getting back to eating Real Food
Defining what types of food your particular body thrives on and which ones make you run down
Expanding the variety of foods you consume rather than contracting them
The Power of Plating
Timing meals to decrease HANGRY situations
Choosing indulgences
An in-person and online community to help reinforce new eating habits
Combining new eating habits with workouts to achieve your goals efficiently and sustainability

The Short Staff

This seminar will cover basic techniques of the short staff as well as exploring some extended plays of Paulus Hector Mair.
The fee is $35 for Tosetti Institute students. If you are not a Tosetti Institute student you are welcome to join us and the fee is $70. There will be a 30 minute break.
